The "it" Factor...

Everyone has a song. That one song, it gets you every time. Mine has been a favorite since I first heard it when I was 13 or 14. I am not sure when. It was a very special song, the boy i "loved" all through High School always danced with me to that song. Even when he had a girlfriend when that song came on at the stake dances he always danced with me. Ironically he never dated me, no matter how many times I asked him out or to homecoming or prom. I always got a no. But I always think of him when I hear that song. Times have changed and I have grown, there is always a song. Another song, another line, another man I cared for very much (this time he cared back) Each person I loved has a song. Each part of my life has at least one. I thought I would share a few lyrics from some of the songs that have meant a lot to me and some from a new song that I adore, it can apply to just about any relationship.

Favorite Lyrics:
"And I don't want the world to see me,
Cause I don't think that they'd understand.
When every thing's made to be broken,
I just want you to know who I am."

"I know loving me isn't easy
I'm home and next thing I'm leaving
but when I look at you it's like praying with my eyes
I follow you to sleep so I will find your dream place and hey, I
'm not an angel but girl you make me feel like I know one, one"

"Now our dreams are coming true.
Through the good times and the bad
I'll be standing there by you."

This is the new song that I love:

Share with me the blankets that your wrapped in
because its cold outside cold outside its cold outside
share with me the secrets that you kept in
because its cold inside cold inside its cold inside
and your slowly shaking finger tips
show that your scared like me so
let's pretend we're alone
and I know you may be scared and I know were unprepared
but I don't care

tell me tell me what makes you think that you are invincible
I can see it in your eyes that you're so sure
please don't tell me that I am the only one that's vulnerable
impossible

I was born to tell you I love you
isn't that a song already
I get a B in originality
and it's true I cant go on without you
your smile makes me see clearer
if you could only see in the mirror what I see

and your slowly shaking finger tips
show that your scared like me
so let's pretend we're alone
and I know you may be scared
and I know were unprepared
but I don't care

tell me tell me
what makes you think that you are invincible
I can see it in your eyes that you're so sure
please don't tell me that I am the only one that's vulnerable
impossible

slow down girl your not going anywhere
just wait around and see
maybe I am much more you never no what lies ahead
I promise I can be anyone I can be anything
just because you were hurt doesn't mean you shouldn't bleed
I can be anyone anything I promise I can be what you need

tell me tell me
what makes you think that you are invincible
I can see it in your eyes that your so sure
please don't tell me that I am the only one that's vulnerable
impossible

GO UTES!

This weekend was Halloween. We didn't do anything other than passing out candy. Well the Big event of this weekend was actually the BLACK OUT, this is the Utah Utes game where they wear all black uniforms and the crowd is asked to also wear all black. Last year was the first year they did this, it was also close to Halloween and we played TCU. This year we played Wyoming. Watching this game made me a little sad. It made me remember how much fun it is to have season tickets to the Utes. As much as I HATED the cold games where your toes freeze just walking to the game I realized that I actually miss Utah. I know I know but there definitely are some things about it that are amazing. I miss my friends and family that I had there. If we could just get everyone down here. Yeah right. Well although I miss Utah and can now admit that Arizona is more than amazing. It was considered "jacket weather" this week because it was in the high 40's in the morning. It was great. I love this, I can wear a light sweater and be perfect. It also is supposed to be back in the 90's this week so... not a whole lot else is going on, I am in training for a new position that I LOVE and can't wait to get back on the phones and make some money. On a side note... GO YANKEES!!!

Cars and other stuff...

So about a week and a half ago I was on my way to work, sitting at a RED light and about 4 seconds after it turned green BAM I got rear ended. LAME.... well anyway it took about an hour for the cops to show up and write up the report. I had a killer headache all day. Thankfully I have a great insurance company, it doesn't matter that I didn't know they were great until now (other than how cheap they are) anyway, they got me an appointment at the service shop the next morning with a rental waiting! Oh so my insurance company is Progressive and I am officially recommending them. Not only is my insurance the same price as I paid in high school but the rental car they gave me was an '09 Civic... they always try and match the car that you have so it was great that I didn't have to drive around in some tiny hatch back thingy. Well anyway on to other things, oh nothing else has happened. The weather here is still great, right around 100 everyday still so that is nice. I will update again soon... I am hoping to have some big news this week.

Oh what a wonder!

Last week my AC went out... on Saturday, we had to wait until Thursday to get it fixed. It was a very warm week and it was average of 95 degrees in my house... it was 115 outside. Luckily it rained a couple of nights so we could at least sleep. ANYWAY, needless to say I didn't do much. I barbecued everything so I didn't make the inside of the house any warmer. I didn't do laundry because I was already as bare skinned as possible, taking cold showers and still constantly sweating. Well to get to the point once I got my AC fixed I had a lot to catch up on.

As a preface, I have an amazing husband... I tend to spoil him, A LOT! I have a full time job, I take him to work and pick him up (this does save money but he sleeps on the way to work). I get up at 5:15 to work out so he can workout when he wants to. I do all the grocery shopping and cooking, even on the grill, I love me some good BBQ. I do the laundry, dishes, sweep, mop and dust. I even cut his hair every week (I don't like to pay $13 to shave his head). Oh and I organize his clothes in the closet in 4 categories and color coordinate! Cory has 2 jobs, this was discussed when we got married almost 6 years ago.... well since I spoil the heck out of him I tend to do those jobs also. Taking out the garbage and vacuuming. I don't know why but I HATE vacuuming!! I can't wait to tile my whole house and sweep away. I got out of the shower this morning and what did I hear? The vacuum? WHAT????? NO WAY! I didn't even ask. Cory helped me get caught up, SO wonderful! Well to reward him I made Aussie fries and Wings, he loves him some hot wings. Now we are sitting here and watching BYU play Oklahoma and I realize how lucky I am to have a husband who is proud to have such a freak fan about football with him. I might spoil him but I know that he would do anything for me ( I might have to pout a bit but still) He is wonderful and my life is great. I might not have everything I want but I enjoy my life and know I am supported and loved more than anything.

This is the first and last time I will say this! GO BYU! NFL starts next week, dang those false idols!! Good thing my phone has Internet so I can check Sunday scores anywhere. ;) I know this post was all over but I don't really care... HAHA

For Reals?

Ok update, we went to Denver for my Birthday, Thank you wonderful Husband. This is what happened.

Saw the fam for my Birthday, YEA!

Played Battle of the Sexes, girls won but totally shouldn't have.

Took fuzzy Pictures.
AWWWWWW...... everyone told me what a good dad my husband will be.

Bridget got eaten by Jaws.

Then got spit out in a bubble.

Lucas wanted to eat.

Scarlet just helped herself to a snack.

Bridget climbed on things (She also fell a lot)

Then we went to the zoo and saw the animal. I was so glad I got to see the bears, Black, Grizzly and event he Polar bears were swimming (My Favorite). Both Lucas and Bridget ran and fell a lot but they were not to big of criers. They begged Uncle Cory to take them on the train but then decided to go on the carousel instead.

We saw a statue of Klondike and Snow, I remember when they were born HUGE deal. Funny thing is when I was in Orlando last October they announced that their Polar Bears were Klondike and Snow from the Denver Zoo. Can't freaking escape the small world stuff... oh well. The statue was hot but the kids kept trying to climb on then got burned.

That concludes my trip to Denver, I got to see my family a lot we had a picnic the night before we left but I left my camera in the car so i didn't get any Pictures, Val of course did so check out her blog if you want to see.

HEAT!

So we have been here for a while now but we just got into our new home! We will have pictures of the house set up soon, we just have a few finishing touches. But in the mean time here are some random Phoenix pictures. They aren't the best quality but at least I posted! The heat has been actually wonderful. it was over 100 for a full week but Cory and I couldn't tell, it felt like a good 90 degree day. We love it here and can't wait for our visitors to start coming.

Lots of things, lots of pictures, long blog.

I am finally getting around to posting what we did with Cory's parents when they were in town. They came down to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary, Congratulations to them. Shanna Cory's younger sister came down with them kind of last minute but we got to hang out with them a little bit, here is what we did. They are really out of order, I am still not that good at that aspect of the blog. Oh I bought a new camera, it was a killer deal and I am pretty sure mine was lost in the move :(

On Friday we got to go to the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple, it was really good, except the dancing, I just don't understand why there was dancing, but it was good. Here is Cory pondering before the Pageant started.

Here is a picture of the actual Temple. It is the same design as Hawaii, beautiful just like most other's.
It was SO windy that day, we were FREEZING, but we didn't have any sweatshirts I was lucky i wore pants or I would have been flipping out. I underestimated Arizona on a windy day in March.

This is the stage that the Pageant was performed on. There were 2500 people there, it has that many people for 9 days!

We grabbed Pizza on the way down since we had to be there 2 hours early to get seats.

On Wednesday we went to Dave and Busters and played games. It was SO much fun, Thanks again Brian and Bonnie!
Here is Cory Racing his Dad on jet skis.

Here is Cory and his Dad playing Madden. Surprise, surprise, Cory wanted to play a game he always beats everyone at.

Here is another jet ski race.

Shanna and Brian racing the jet ski's, Shanna cracks me up, she was mad I kept taking pictures.

Cory on the skateboarding game. he of course did well.

Tuesday Brian and Bonnie got us all tickets to the D-Backs game, we sat in the all you can eat section, it was such a good time except we lost to the Rockies. Thanks again Brian and Bonnie.
This is Cory and I, I think it is the only Picture I am in the whole week.

Here are the players, doing their thing.

This is the three visitors having a great time. It was snowing in SLC when they left so the 75 degree game was perfect, they had the AC on in the seats.

Here is a picture of the fields sign.

Another picture of the fam.

It was such a fun week Cory and I had a great time, we were exhausted at work everyday but it was worth it. We cannot wait to get into our house and having lots more visits from Family. My family was supposed to come down for the Pageant but didn't make it, maybe next year. We hope we get to see some more family this year.

The Big REVEAL!!!

So Cory's Parents were in town this week and we did some really fun stuff but before I post about that I wanted to show some people this. I have been debating for a while on if I should cut my hair. After finding a hairball in my jeans one day I had enough of my hair being so long and getting EVERYWHERE. So..... Here is what I had when I left this morning.

And this is what I came home with...

It went a little shorter than I expected but it could also just be the shock of it, I haven't cut more than an inch off my hair in about 3 years and it was shorter than this then. AAAHHHHH... it is so weird to not have it resting on my back and how short my ponytail it. CRAZY.... Oh and as for why I am wearing long sleeves, it rained today, A LOT!!!

Specs...

Ok so since you all have seen Cory's LOVELY home tour here are the details.
The house has:
2,120 sq feet
4 Bedrooms (Cory totally skipped one and it had teddy bears on the wall!)
1 Office/Den
3 Full baths

So there is lots of room to come stay with us, the 4th bedroom and 3rd bathroom are right at the front of the house so it is private for the mom's and dad's and the kids can stay in the office that is next to that or in the bedrooms back by us. We are really excited and can't wait to move in. We are hoping to close and move in by the end of April, right before it gets really hot. We are in a community that has HOA's that include a really nice community pool, a gym and even tennis courts. They offer lessons and training in multiple sports and personal training. We cannot wait and I hope to see all you peeps coming down here to see us. next time we go up I will try and take some better pictures.

Oh what happens in a year...

Dreams come true. A year ago this week Cory and I were visiting Phoenix, looking at neighborhoods and wishing we could move here. When we landed literally I turned on my phone and it rang. I answered and it was American Express offering me a job in SLC. Great way to start off the week. We then got to the car rental desk and they gave us an UPGRADE to a Cadillac CTS, SWEET. It was a wonderful 85 the entire time and then we went home, went back to reality. I got to leave my old job, telling one of your best friends, who is your boss, that you are quitting was hard, but fun at the same time. I started with American Express within a few weeks. During the same few weeks we were lucky enough to sell our house. We decided to be apartment people for a while and live closer to work. We got to our 5th year anniversary in Orlando. We didn't do much more and then in December Cory was goofing around looking at jobs in Phoenix, the snow gave us the itch every time. He found a posting at American Express in Phoenix and I told him what could it hurt... Well 3 interviews and a delayed flight back from a 4th (snow again) later he had an offer, more than we needed to justify the move, it was bliss. Cory was starting the beginning of February and I still had to find a position to transfer into to. Thinking we would be apart for a few months we had a plan, a sad sad plan, we had never even been apart for more than 3 days in the over 5 years we were married. Well just my luck I applied for a job and got it, starting the same day as Cory, which happened to be in a week and a half, well we changed our plans and thankfully Cory's parents helped us out so we didn't have to get a Uhaul and 2 cars down here. Well here we are a year after the dream started and it is a reality. Things are good. Now we just need a house, offer is in will hear back by the 30th. Hopefully we will be posting pictures soon. Livin the Dream and never giving up.

Camera is MIA

So we are in Arizona and I can't find my camera, i am sure it is packed in a box somewhere! I am excited to say we started looking at houses and we actually put in an offer today. I can't wait to hear back but there are PLENTY of houses we LOVED so if anything happens there are always backups. I will post a link to it when we hear more. Also my sister in law Val should be going into labor any day/minute now and I am excited to have another Niece. but once we get the house we will have a place for them to sleep when they come visit. Not a whole lot is going on, Cory and I both love our jobs and the weather is AMAZING, it was 85 today and is supposed to be 90 tomorrow. I can't wait to be tan and looking good. Cory and I are about to start another weight loss/maintenance binge on Monday so we will keep updating you peeps on that. It is hard living in an apartment when most of your stuff is packed up, I keep trying to cook and have to go find something in a box somewhere. I will try to be better with update, but hopefully with the house shopping underway I will have more news.

Two more days of SNOW!

So I just wanted to let everyone know who doesn't already that I am moving to Arizona in TWO DAYS! We are packing up the uhaul tomorrow and heading out on Friday Jan 30th. We are almost all packed up and I can't believe it is really happening, Cory and I are very excited and know this is the best move for us. To all our friends and family in Utah we will miss you and thank you for everything that you have done for us. Everyone everywhere else across the country thank you as well and now you all have a nice warm place to visit. I will update again when we get our Internet set up and have more information about the warm weather.
